The fishing section is a friendly bunch of ace and causal fishermen and fisherwomen.

Using one of the best charters out of Auckland ( Panapa Charters) we hire the whole boat for 3-4 days trips a year on the Hauraki Gulf – it is always a great day out.

Once a year we go on a 4 day trip, with 3 days fishing out of Coromandel Town on the Firth of Thames – this is always a fun trip away fishing and socialising. In order to reduce the cost to section members for trips, we run two major fundraising events each year – Batons Up and Calcutta (Melbourne Cup).
